Love is in the air for HWYRT! This week, Bryan and Peter join Coach Dan, Justin, and Gorilla Bill for the annual LoveFest at the Heartbreak Hill Running Company. While runners mingle, shop, and try the treadmills, Peter and Bryan chat with the enthusiastic crowd. They connect with runners of all kinds - experienced marathoners, first-time marathoners, and first-time runners period! - who are raising funds or supporting other charity runners for the Boston Marathon. Of course Peter and Bryan get to chat with the lucky raffle winners (listen in to see who gets the big prize and Gorilla Bill’s banana tips!), and then they are joined by Adrianne Haslet to talk about the strides she's making in her recovery from a terrible accident.
This episode of HWYRT is brought to you by Little Hear Show, a new Podcast coming to you this summer.

Bryan and Peter are back in their podcasting second home at the Boston Public Library! First, Bryan gives an update on his training for the Boston Marathon, where he will be guiding friend-of-the-show Tim Sullivan to support Team With A Vision. He also shares some workout advice he got from Coach Paul Davies, and talks about how he's facing the immense changes in weather. Plus, Peter shares how he's training his diet (also a marathon, not a sprint!) while continuing PT for his foot injury. Then, they are joined by special guests Kiah Quarles and Imani Graham, both first-time marathoners who are running for the brand new Boston Public Library charity team. Kiah and Imani describe the excitement of hitting big mile markers as they build up their distance, how they've been managing their training and fundraising, and, of course, how they strap on the feedbag. They also talk about their athletic pasts and Imani shares the story of how a traumatic injury changed her life and eventually brought her to distance running.
Don't forget to sign up for the LOVE FEST happening next Thursday, February 14th, at the Heartbreak Hill Running Company! Come hang out with fellow runners, shop, or take a class. There will be LIVE PODCASTING and a raffle. At least one lucky Boston Marathon charity runner will walk away with a prize to support their fundraising goal.

New year, new episode! Peter and Bryan welcome 2019 with a special visit from Peter's long-time friend and new runner, David Macklem, on his stateside holiday trip from Japan. First, they try to figure out if Dave actually met Bryan back in their Syracuse University days. Then, stories of Dave and Peter strapping on the feedbag in their youth lead to revelations about when they each hit their low points and turned their health around. For Dave, that included a certain inspirational running podcast and finding experienced runners to coach him. The guys also talk about the challenge of returning to running after injury, Dave's amazing unsupported personal marathon in beautiful Okayama, and the supportive HWYRT community on Strava.
