They are not medical doctors. Turns out they’re not psychologists, either. That's why Bryan and Peter are joined by Dr. Chris Carter, team psychologist for Spaulding Hospital's Race for Rehab Boston Marathon team. They discuss why runners run, what the brain goes through on long runs, and how to tackle training for the big race. Plus, Peter gives his Clyde Army Countdown update for week eight.

As winter makes itself known in Boston, Peter continues to train for the marathon and breaks in his new Yaktrax. Bryan gets a run in with his beer brewing buddy. And they get a visit from listener and sub-sub-elite runner Funny Ellen London. Plus, an update on the first full week of Peter's Clyde Army Countdown!

As Peter’s marathon training continues, he pitches a new motivational segment for the show to Bryan. Then, they attempt to interview a guest via Skype, but the internet doesn’t cooperate. They end the show having to rely on some serious “self talk” to stay positive.

Peter's marathon training has him dreaming about running. Meanwhile, Bryan is back out on the trails and experiences a really tough workout. Then they are joined by the inspirational Bill McCabe who began running in his 50s and has been crushing it ever since. He has run marathons on all 7 continents, ran the Boston Marathon route 26 weeks in a row, and still has some major running goals to share.
