You burn more calories laughing while running.

Oct 17, 2019

The past weekend was full of crazy races and we’re talking about them all! Bryan and Peter update one another on where they are in their training cycles. Peter reveals the major game-changer that is taking place along his favorite running route. Bryan lets the cat out of the bag on some major prizes being offered at this year’s Crankle 2K up in Millinocket. Oh, and HWYRT may have saved a listener’s life!

Bryan’s race day snafu and a listener’s injury lead to a debate: is it better to DNS or DNF? Then, Peter and Bryan are joined by Anne Beatty, a 20-time marathoner who didn’t start running marathons until she was 50. Anne talks about how she got into running and how she maintains a tech-free running routine. (Hint: It helps to have a great running group.) Finally, friend-of-the-show Igor Babushkin stops by to give an update on his training…and it may not be the real Igor.
